Oh, and by the way...
...tomorrow I officially join the Republican Party.
ObamaCare delenda est.
But the truth is, -- I am not a wise man ; ---- and besides am a mortal of so little consequence in the world, it is not much matter what I do ; so I seldom fret or fume at all about it. -- Tristam Shandy

Did you join because of the great things they are doing with education curriculum in Texas, or because of Gov Perry's plan to secede?

[sigh] Anonymous, if you read my response (since deleted), I apologize for its intemperance (to use an inadequately mild term).
Let me just say this once and for all, Gentle Readers: I have about as much of a sense of humor about this as Churchill had about the Munich Pact; so teasing me is a bad idea. Not since the New Deal have we seen legislation, and a President, so jaw-droppingly economically ignorant, so nakedly driven by the desire for power among the political elite at whatever cost to the American people, and so openly and shamelessly contemptuous of simple justice and of the Constitution. The President and the Democratic Congress are either evil, or insane, or both; and the only possible excuse for anybody who attempts to defend them is that you are either six years old or else that you have so many genuinely useful things to do in your life that you only have about ten minutes every year left over to think about public policy (the latter, by the way, is an outstanding excuse and would make me think very highly indeed of your priorities, if your political influence extends only to your own vote and maybe those of a small handful of your friends).
And if in that comment, my dear Anonymous, you were trying to indulge in repartee or debate, then understand that either I will refrain from talking to you at all, or else I'll go nuclear on you, because if you are attempting to help the Democratic Party retain enough power to keep control of so much as the local Animal Control, then you are defending folly and tyranny. You left yourself pretty wide open with that weak and ill-thought-out comeback of yours; it was, to put it bluntly, a really stupid thing to say if you were even remotely serious, and very ill-timed if you were jesting.
Just leave the subject alone. I'll relieve my feelings with the daily ObamaCare delenda est and will try not to talk about it otherwise.
Kenny, Its just so much fun poking someone who has denied being a republican for so long. You leave yourself open to it.
Not in the mood, sorry.
God is always in control, Kenny. It's ok to lose patience, but not your faith ;).
