More on integrity

I've been enjoying recently Alexandra von Maltzan's blog All Things Beautiful; I like intelligent people who don't fit into neat pigeonholes. Among other things, she understands fashion, which I don't; and she just made a statement that's going to have me thinking for a while:

The subject of American aesthetics (see interesting article by Edward Driscoll), and inherently men's sense of fashion, still largely rests on Integrity. The quality of being honest, and having strong moral principles, moral uprightness.

I'll have to give some thought to the question of how well my wardrobe communicates integrity, which is pretty close to the controlling virtue in my own ethical system.
